Thrive Progress Report – September 2021
- 02 May 2022
In May 2021, Thrive partnered with Stockland to bring local refugee-owned businesses to Wetherill Park for an Autumn Market. It was an incredible opportunity for our clients to showcase and promote their small business, generate new income, and sell their products to a larger audience.
Soheil Ettehadolhagh, our client and professional photographer, provided complimentary photos. Gokhan Poyraz shared authentic Turkish artistry while Saeed, the owner of Dark Blue Cafe & Pastry, offered homemade Persian sweets. We were also able to interact with successful franchise businesses and business owners such as Davoud Youhaneh Ghaterchi from Jim’s Mowing and Sarkon Abbo from Jim’s Cleaning. The event concluded with a traditional folk dance from local El Salvadorian troupe Sendas Salvadoreñas. These markets not only help support refugees in our community, but also offer the public a new, different and exciting experience.
Finally, in September, we organised an interesting Thrive Connect session including Thrive client and owner Heydar Ashtalkh, owner of Ramssin Furniture. He shared his insights on e-Commerce and his success with selling products online. Thrive Connect sessions aims to support clients with their businesses.
