Business Finance

Business loans amounts between $10,000 up to $50,000

A business loan application generally follows a successful assessment through the Thrive support process together with due diligence checks including Visa entitlement verification, DFAT and an Equifax credit check.

Clients who seek financing must have work and residency entitlements for at least the desired length of their loan and must be seeking to borrow money for business purposes only – to buy, start or grow a business in Australia.

Thrive’s business loans have been designed to help refugees with no or limited credit history to get started. We don’t require the typical business history and financial information that a traditional bank or lender may require. Thrive fees and interest rates tend to be more competitive than that is charged by traditional lenders.

Westpac is a sponsor of Thrive’s lending program. The Australian Government also provides Thrive with targeted grants to assist refugees to gain financial independence through self-employment and small business startups.

Loan application

Following from an individual consultation and business planning with one of our team members, if finance is required to start or grow your business, we can work with you on a loan application to submit to the Thrive credit team for assessment.

The credit team will review the following in their assessment of the loan application.

  • Business plan and cashflow

  • Amount to borrow

  • Previous small business training and experience

  • Equifax check
